Evening Performances in The Barn

We have converted one of our barns to serve as a small theatre with seating and a stage. During the high season we put on a number of different evening events which our visitors can enjoy free of charge. You will be surprised and delighted at the quality of the local talent, which we take great care in selecting to provide evening sessions of all types. This standard and variation of performance is rare on holiday sites.

In past seasons, the entertainment has included:

St Dennis Band
A local brass band with huge talent and awards to boot. St Dennis Band is extremely proud of its heritage with early records traced to the mid 19th Century. The Band has qualified for the National finals five times in the last decade rapidly moving up through the sections where they have now reached the Championship Section.

John Brolly - Story Teller
John tells an eclectic mix of his own original tales and those that have been passed down over the generations, drawing equally from local traditions and far flung and exotic lands. His unique interactive style can make the listener part of the story and you are left in no doubt that each new telling is a version that has never been heard before. He appeals to all ages, from young children to pensioners.

Local Choirs
Oll an Gwella male voice choir and Intune St Columb Choir entertain our visitors with a wide variety of songs, and interact with them.

Paul Scott
A local magician. He has appeared several times on television and his radio appearances include BBC World Wide, which won an award, BRMB, Radio West Midlands, Pirate FM & Radio Cornwall, Radio St Austell Bay. Paul has worked cabaret in most of the major hotels and theatres around the country, has also entertained abroad throughout Europe and completed a 6 month season in the Chandris Hotel in Corfu.

An animal show, with live birds and animals. Mark has a lot of experience and talks informatively about his creatures including “hands on” participation. Mark has been an animal presenter for the past twenty years and has informed and entertained many tens of thousands of visitors throughout Cornwall. For nearly a decade as animal presenter of the "Really Wild Experience" at Flambards Experience, Helston, the largest family theme park in Cornwall.

enjoy the Trewan Hall night skies - bring a telescope ... and fabulous Night Skies

If at the end of the day you still have energy left, pull up a chair or blanket and admire some of the clearest night skies you'll find anywhere in the UK. With little light pollution, an open campsite and great air quality, you'll be stunned at what can be seen - planets, stars, meteors, satellites, the Milky Way.

Did you know that less than 10% of the UK population can see the beauty of the night sky full of stars? Many kids (and adults) have never even seen the Milky Way. On a clear night, you'll be able to see thousands of stars. Bring some binoculars or a telescope and you'll see millions.

Trewan Hall is definitely the best campsite we have ever been to.

Great location with beautiful, clean, spacious, sandy, dog friendly beaches only a few miles a way.
